The affordability of LED screens has increased significantly, leading to their widespread adoption, including in large-scale billboard displays. However, a persistent limitation lies in their relatively low refresh rates. This often results in animated advertisements appearing choppy, with noticeable frame skipping, detracting from the viewing experience. Consequently, LED screens are primarily used for static text-based advertising or single product images. The smooth display of more intricate graphic elements and complex animations necessitates high-end LED technology capable of supporting refresh rates up to 120Hz. These advanced displays, however, come with a hefty price tag; a small 4K version can range from 200to200to500 USD. When considering the massive dimensions of billboards, often 90 x 30 feet, the costs escalate dramatically, not to mention the potential issue of heat generation from the heat sinks, which can contribute to building warming. This highlights the fact that we are still in a phase of development for large-scale LED displays. Smaller LED screens, on the other hand, are becoming commonplace, appearing as poster replacements in mounted mupi displays, smaller indoor billboards, and as informational panels near tourist landmarks.
