As a Taurus, I'm often plagued by forgetfulness, a trait that may or may not be linked to my astrological sign. I suspect it's more related to my intense focus. When I'm immersed in a project, I become completely absorbed, often neglecting other equally important tasks and my surroundings. I'm definitely a single-tasker; you could even say I'm multi-talentless in that regard.
My wife has developed an elaborate system of sticky notes – a visual reminder network plastered across my PC, desk, fridge, and pretty much anything I own. These colorful squares serve as constant nudges, reminding me of appointments, errands, and other daily necessities. She supplements this with a barrage of reminders: texts, shouted reminders before I leave the house, and even phone calls. Despite her diligent efforts, I still manage to forget things! Sometimes, I feel like she's functioning as my external brain.
To be fair, she shoulders a larger share of the mental load. I'm an artist, and I need to dedicate my energy and concentration to my craft. Thankfully, she's incredibly supportive and understanding. She showers me with love and even includes sweet, affirming messages on those ubiquitous sticky notes, reminding me that she loves me just as I am.
